A spotting scope you will actually take with you. The Kingfisher weighs just 840g (29.6 oz) and packs down small enough for a daypack, so it goes on every outing. Sweep a shoreline at 11x, then zoom to 33x to confirm the bird.
ED glass reduces color fringing and FMC ultra-wideband coatings keep the image bright and clear. At 11x, the 216 ft / 72 m @ 1000 yds/m field of view makes it easy to find your subject before you zoom in.
A long eye relief of 19mm at 11x and 17mm at 33x, plus a twist-up eyecup and a large 23mm eyepiece, keeps the view comfortable if you wear glasses. The big focus ring makes fine focusing quick and precise.
The aluminum alloy body is nitrogen-purged and waterproof to protect the optics, and it comes with a fitted protective case. Use it handheld at low zoom, or mount it on any standard camera tripod with the brass thread.
